Bobbie Rae Craddock King went home to be with Jesus on May 15, 2026.
She is survived by her loving husband of 59 years, Joseph "JD" King; her children, Joseph Donald King, Charles Randall King, Regina Lynne Stamps and Timothy David King; her grandchildren, Joseph, Zachary, Tracy, Randy, Samantha, Savannah, Scarlett, and Lauren; four great-grandchildren; and many other beloved family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by her father, Joe Craddock; her mother, Dollie Craddock; her sisters, Josie Meads, Isabell Beck, Adelle Wilson, and Dorothy Bass; and her brother, Joe C. Craddock.
Bobbie was one of the hardest-working people you could ever know. When she was young, she left school to help care for both her mother and grandmother, something she did with love and without hesitation. After she and JD were married, her mother lived with them for 19 years, and Bobbie continued caring for her every day. Throughout her life, she opened her home and her heart to many family members and friends who needed help, comfort, or someone to lean on. Taking care of others was simply who she was.
Bobbie and JD were married on February 3, 1967, and started their marriage with a lemon pie before going right back to work the very next day. Over the years, they worked side by side through many business adventures, building a life together through determination, sacrifice, and love. Most couples say they could never work together every day, but Bobbie and JD not only made it work, they made it work well.
Bobbie will be remembered for her strength, kindness, generosity, and the deep love she had for her family. She gave so much of herself to the people around her and touched more lives than she probably ever realized. She will be deeply missed and forever loved.
