Bill Barnette

of Homewood, passed away on Monday, May 9, 2005, at the age of 73. He was a U. S. Air Force veteran and retired from State Farm Insurance, after 33 years of service. Mr. Barnette was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He loved raising Shelties and gardening. He is survived by his wife, Mary H. Barnette, of Homewood; a son, Jack Webster Barnette (Jackie), of Titusville, FL; two daughters, Anne Ryburn (Todd), of Bloomington, IL and Mary Jane Barnette, of Birmingham; two grandchildren, Brian Harrell, of Birmingham and Brantley Barnette, of Titusville, FL. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, May 11, 2005, from 6:00 until 8:00 pm at Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home, Hwy 150, Hoover. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, May 12, 2005 at 11:00 am at Jefferson Memorial Gardens, South. The family request donations be made to the American Cancer Society.
