Betty Ponder

December 11, 1942 — July 7, 2017

Betty Deanna Sexton Ponder, 74, of Hoover. Alabama went home to be with her Savior and Lord, Jesus Christ, on Friday, July 7. Betty was born on December 11, 1942.

Survivors include her daughter, Sherri Foyt and her husband, Jim; granddaughters, Jenna and Anna Foyt; grandson, Hunter Ponder; aunts and uncles: Charles and Helen Woods, James and Gloria Woods, and Jerry and Ruth Farris; numerous cousins including Peggy Mays. She is preceded in death by her son, Jeff Ponder, and parents, Jeanette Sexton and Wallace Sexton.

Her family will receive friends on Wednesday, July 12, at Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home from 10:00-11:00 a.m. The funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Elmwood Cemetery.
