Barbara V. Antonio

Barbara V. Antonio, age 90, passed away peacefully at her home in McCalla on May 9, 2026. Born on September 5, 1935, Barbara lived a life devoted to her family. Barbara was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 49 years, Bernard S. Antonio. 

She is survived by her children, Richard “Rick” Antonio, Robert “Bernie” Antonio (Katie), and Debra Antonio McCulley (Mike); her grandchildren, Justin McCulley (Karla) and Kristin McCulley Nicholas; and five cherished great-granddaughters Ava, Hadley, Harlow, Berkley and Lynleigh.

 Barbara was a dedicated homemaker who found great joy in caring for her family. She was especially known for her wonderful cooking, and her homemade biscuits were loved by all who had the pleasure of enjoying them. Barbara will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her, but her memory will live on in the hearts of her family and friends. 

Visitation will be held Wednesday, May 13, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home in Hoover.
