Arthur Driggers

Arthur James Driggers, Jr. Age 97 of Hoover, Alabama passed away peacefully at his home on Friday, May 5, 2023. Arthur was born to Willie Mae and Arthur Driggers on August 24, 1925 in Birmingham, Alabama. He proudly served his country for four years in the United States navy during World War II. and was honorably discharged on January 9, 1946. Arthur was a longtime member of First Baptist Church of Hoover. He was a loving husband, father and uncle. Arthur was preceded in death by his parents Arthur James Driggers, Sr. and Willie Lee Carroll; his wife, Emma Marie Driggers; sister, Mabel Acton and brother in law, Ivan Brashier. He is survived by his son, Michael Jacob Johnson; sisters in law, Joyce Willis (Jerry), Robin Brashier; nieces, Pam Priborsky (Wes), Cindy Willis, Tyra Cutcher (Dee) ; nephew, Michael Brashier (Kim); great nieces, Maggie Priborsky, Rachel Brashier; great nephews, Ryan Priborsky, Wesley Jones (Jill), Darin Jones, Nate Jones, Jon Jones, Juston Cutcher (Jessica), Derek Cutcher (Christy) and Andrew Brashier (Cara). He lived a life of service and he will be greatly missed. The family would like to give a special thank you to Eldercare of Alabama especially his caregiver, Melanie Poe. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 10, 2023 at 1-2pm with graveside to follow at 2 pm in Jefferson Memorial Gardens South.
