Anthony Joseph "Bubba" Cashia passed away on Thursday, December 12, 2024, in Birmingham, Alabama, at the age of 76, following a brief illness. He was surrounded by his loving family. Anthony was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend whose warmth, generosity, and zest for life touched all who knew him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank A. Cashia and Marion Cantavespre Cashia. He is survived by his beloved wife, Alethea Cashia; his son, Bryant Cashia wife Bailey Cashia and their son, Benjamin Cashia and his stepchildren, Jordan Milazzo (husband Alex Milazzo and their son, Easton Milazzo) and Connor Cowie.

Anthony was a cherished brother to JoAnn Cashia Zito (husband Tommy Zito) and Joseph Cashia (wife Angela Humphreys). He shared a deep and loving bond with his siblings, and his presence will be deeply missed by all.

Anthony was known for his infectious smile, unwavering kindness, and his ability to light up any room. His love for family and friends was boundless—always ready with a helping hand or a word of encouragement. He had a larger-than-life personality and a sense of humor that left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him.

He was always eager to try something new, whether it was scuba diving, horseback riding, showing dogs, sports cars, golf, shooting, or even magic tricks. Anthony was a life member of American Boxer Club and active in the Birmingham Kennel Club. Whatever he pursued, Anthony approached it with enthusiasm, time, and dedication. A proud supporter of University of Alabama athletics, his passion began as a child when he sold Cokes at football games in Legion Field.

An avid outdoorsman, Anthony loved spending time in nature. He was proud and honored to serve his country in the United States Navy and the Alabama National Guard. During his service Anthony took part in the recovery of the crew of Apollo 7 in the north Atlantic Sea. Following his military service, he began a successful and passionate career in medical sales.
