Angela Cooper Jones

September 28, 1964 — July 4, 2025

It is with heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Angela (Angie) Cooper Jones, a loving mother and a remarkable woman. Angie fought a vigilant battle against pancreatic cancer that ended on July 4, 2025. Born September 28, 1964, Angie was 60 years old. She was a warrior in every sense of the word, tough as nails, independent and fiercely loyal. She woke up everyday with a will to fight and love for her family and friends that had no bounds.

Colleagues will remember Angie as a tireless worker who was always willing to lend a helping hand. Over the years she worked in several different industries that garnered her lifelong friendships and valuable experiences. Angie's first notable place of employment was Regions Bank in Montgomery, where she made many relationships that are still evident today. Angie began Mercedes-Benz Manufacturing Plant in 2005, where she fell in love with the fast paced environment that went hand-in-hand with her strong work ethic. Several years later, Angie worked at Cahaba Ridge Retirement Community, where she fell in love with the people. This stage of her career provided some of the most rewarding relationships from the residents to her coworkers. Lastly, Angie worked at Storyteller Overland, where she found a home. Her love for her coworkers, the clients she worked with and the work environment was clear by the constant affirmation of her time with Storyteller.

There is a common theme in her work experience, Angie loved developing relationships. She was feisty and strong-willed, but her greatest characteristic was being a friend anytime you needed one. She was a nurturer and was always willing to give advice when needed. These will be the memories we hold onto of Angie. Her unconditional love will live on in the memories we retain and the words we have received from Angie over the years. She will leave a legacy of love behind.

Angie was predeceased by her grandparents, Jim Barron (Ruby) and Elze Cooper (Lucille); parents, Merle Cooper and Donald Cooper Sr., as well as her brothers, Bobby Cooper and Donald Cooper Jr. She is survived by her daughter, Skylar Jones Cohick (Adam); brother, Steve Cooper (Cindy); nephew, Cameron Cooper (Emilly) and great niece, Linen Cooper.

A celebration of life will be held on July 19, 2025 at Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home. Visitation will begin at 11:00 A.M. Service will be held at 12:00 P.M.
