Alton Johnson

, passed away on Monday, July 20, 2009 at the age of 79 after a long battle with Alzheimer’s. He was an avid outdoorsman, who truly loved Alabama football. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Carol Ann Johnson; a grandson, Brandon Lee Johnson; two brothers, Dugan and James; a sister, Helen. He is survived by a daughter, Donna Sue Fitzgerald (Thomas); a son, Mark Randall Johnson; two grandchildren, Lindsey and Jamie Fitzgerald; a brother, Tom Johnson (June). The family will receive friends on Tuesday, July 21, 2009 from 12:30-2:00 pm at Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home, Highway 150, Hoover. Funeral service will follow at 2:00 pm in the funeral home chapel. Interment will be in Jefferson Memorial Gardens, South.
