Lindsay Reese Obituary

January 11, 1938 - August 25, 2023

Lindsay Reese went to her Heavenly home on August 25, 2023, surrounded by her family. She was a loving wife and was married nearly 60 years to her husband, Louie Reese III, who predeceased her in 2022. Lindsay was also a devoted and loving mother to their three children, son Louie Reese IV of Birmingham and daughters Alice Klimpt of Raleigh, NC and Lynn Anderson (Bill) of Roswell, GA. And she was a proud Nana to her grandchildren Tripp Anderson and Sarah Anderson of Roswell, GA.

Lindsay was born in Binghamton, NY on January 11, 1938 to Alice Wiley Nathan and James Lawrence Nathan, both deceased. Her sister, Favre Sparks, also predeceased her. Lindsay graduated from Sheffield High School and attended the University of Alabama. She worked at Guaranty Savings and Loan, Liberty National Insurance and later, The Reese Company Inc.

Even at a very young age, Lindsay had a strong faith in God and a servant heart. She spent countless hours volunteering with various organizations such as Baptist Medical Center-Montclair; Meals on Wheels; The Red Cross; Girl Scouts of America; and at many church and school activities. She was a wonderful hostess and enjoyed planning events that brought many friends, neighbors, and business associates together for celebrations over the years. Lindsay also enjoyed being an active member of the Homestead Sunday School Class at Briarwood Presbyterian Church.

A celebration of Life service will be held on Wednesday August 30, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. at Briarwood Presbyterian Church Chapel, 2200 Briarwood Way Birmingham, AL 35243. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be made to The Mercy Ministry at Briarwood Presbyterian Church.
