Miss Tiny is survived by her beloved son Billy and his wife, Dawn; 3 adored grandchildren, Jennifer Howard (Marc), Brandon Kirkland and Will Davenport, 6 great grandchildren: Tyler Howard (Kiersten), Laci Howard, Emma Grace Howard, Brenley Kirkland, Ellie Davenport and Marley Davenport all of whom made her heart burst with pride; nephews Carl Watts (Kelly), Wayne Watts (Kay), Charles Herbert Reach (Hazel),nieces Linda Moore (Robert), Ann Prestridge (Walter), Nancy Yachmetz (Michael) and Ana Maria Prestandra. She leaves many dear friends especially Sherry Kirkland, Martha Luker Hale (Lamar), Libba Sanders (Michael Moore), Jamie Sanders (Nancy) and all her Lake Lane kids that she helped raise.
Miss Tiny was born February 8, 1927 and raised in Alabaster with her 9 siblings by Sam and Hattie Reach, extraordinary pillars of the community. Theirs was a tightknit family in which Tiny learned the value of hard work and the joy of serving others.
She helped open the doors of the first Alabaster Wal-Mart and for almost 35 years her broad smile and open arms welcomed customers as friends, both old and new. Because Tiny had the extraordinary gift of making everyone feel special, she became very special to so many people. No matter what brought them to Wal-Mart, people always came by the fabrics department to see Miss Tiny! She retired at 85 under great pressure from management to stay but declined- she wanted to have more time for watermelon parties, fireworks, hotdogs and homemade ice cream on the porch with her family. She was the jewel in our family crown!
