Emile Toufic Khoury passed away on January 15, 2023, at the age of 94.
He lived in Beirut, Lebanon, where he owned his own business selling stationary, art supplies, and engineering products.
Later in his life, Emile moved to Birmingham, Alabama, where he worked as a committed salesman for Kay Jewelers. His friendliness, honesty, and kindness contributed to his success in this role.
In addition to his work, Emile devoted a significant portion of his time to sharing his love for his faith and was a longstanding member of Saint Elias Maronite Catholic Church. He was deeply committed to his beliefs and was always willing to help others understand and appreciate them. His wonderful qualities, including his integrity and generosity, have made a lasting impression on many, and he will be remembered as a kind-hearted and selfless man.
He had a daily routine of watching the Price is Right every morning before starting his day, and on Saturdays, he made sure to never miss an Alabama football game. He enjoyed the thrill of the competition and rooting for his favorite team.
Emile had a passion for exploring new places and cultures, and one of his favorite ways to immerse himself in a new destination was by trying different local cuisines. He was always eager to sample new dishes and flavors.
