Beulah Mae Gillman Johnson, 90 years old, passed away on June 10, 2022 at her residence at Mitchell Hollingsworth in Florence. She was born into humble beginnings in Escambia County Alabama, where she spent her childhood before relocating to Tuscaloosa and Pickens Counties. She grew to call Gordo Alabama her home. She was also known for her love of animals, especially dogs of whom her favorite was snowball. She was preceded in death by her mother Emma Mae Gillman, brother Luther J Gillman, and the love of her life, her husband of 14 years, Charles I. Johnson, sisters Leatha Sims Buchmann, Francis Sims Williamson, and Edna Earl Sims Lancaster. She is survived by her sister Lula Mae Gillman Morris, daughter Bridgette Mason, and a multitude of nieces and nephews. In respect of her wishes there will be no service or memorial celebration. In lieu of flowers please donate to the local missionary arm of your church or local Humane Society. The family would like to extend their thanks to the nurses and staff of Mitchell Hollingsworth Nursing facility and the wonderful hospice care providers of Shoals Hospice who seen to her comfort during her final days.
